Divine Intervention
Divine Intervention is a podcast that will follow me and others on a journey to self-acceptance and self-liberation. It will explore different texts, music, and other forms of media, discussing how they influence our perception of the self. There will be interviews, book discussions, and open, honest conversations. It is a journey not only of making sense of the world for myself but also of helping others.
A divine intervention is an event in which a deity becomes actively involved in changing a situation in human affairs. For me, this began when I started to think critically about myself and my relationship with the world around me. I began to think about the systems, voices, and perceptions that shaped my view of life and how I could actively choose to define me for myself.
Divine Intervention will discuss decolonizing the mind and finding what freedom is for yourself. The most radical thing you can do is dream of a life different from the one before your eyes and be willing to take the steps to make that happen for yourself. All forms of resistance begin with how you think of the world around you.

In this episode, I explore my journey of discovering the roots of my definitions, navigating assumptions, and feeling liberated when given a fresh start. Searching for self was inspired by a poem, where I discuss my struggles to see myself and the world clearly. I often find that my perception is influenced by how others view me, which complicates my understanding of my own identity and how I navigate spaces.
