Hey, how y'all doing? This is your girl Brianna, and this is Divine Intervention Podcast, where I try my best to make space and learn how to take up that space. And today I'm back with another episode. And the name of this episode is You Are That Girl. And if you're listening to this and you're not a girl, you are that guy. And if you're listening to this and you're non-binary, you are that MFA. I think that covers all of the bases. Um, I think that because I've been sending about what I'm struggling with words, and I'm not gonna re-record because I've been in the process of telling myself that it is what it is. So the whole week I was racking my brain trying to figure out what did I want my episode to be. I was like, what's the vibes? I wanted to do a book analysis of Sula because I felt like that would be lovely. But I don't know. I might save that for next week or the week after, because the name of that episode is gonna be Sis. Stop apologizing because Sula was unapologetic, and I love that about her character. Um, love an unapologetic black woman who does what she wants to do and sins and who she is. I loved it about her character, but today it was on my heart to I guess do like somewhat of a motivational affirmation type episode because I'm someone that I frequently struggled, E D in the past, because I'm walking into new things, but I always struggled with my mind. I always felt like my biggest, not necessarily enemy because I don't like the word enemy, but it's always been me v me, like me versus me. And my biggest obstacle has always been myself, it's always been my thought process, it's always been anxiety, it's always been self-interalizing things, it's always been me, whether I realized it was me or not. Um, and so I just wanted to do an episode of affirmations that often help me. And if you're listening to this, I hope they help you. Because I think that lately what I'm learning is was meant for you is gonna be for you, and can't nobody else stop that if something does not make it to you. I'm not gonna say that probably meant that it wasn't written, but probably just not for now. Yeah, sometimes stuff takes a little bit more time. I know that I've been stubborn and I want what I want when I want it, but that don't mean that that's when you need it. But yes, honestly, just affirmations starting with you are that girl, or you are that guy, or you are that M. Effa if you are non-binary. I try my best not to cuss on here because youth can listen to this too. Um, things work out for you. I think oftentimes I have to remind myself that I've had much bigger problems that always found a solution. So why wouldn't this have a solution? I think that it's a matter of remembering that you're equipped with all that you need to do what you were put here to do. Even if it's something that you don't think that you possess, it's always a skill, an attribute, or a thing that you can mold, that you can build. You are just that. You are exactly who you think you are, you're exactly what you think you are. If you ever struggled with like having people tell you like you think you all that and do, because I am always have been, neither here nor there. I think that I am someone who always struggled with the balance of humility and cockiness because if I'm gonna be honest, cockiness to me was always one of like the ugliest tracks, and I don't even like using the word ugly because I don't think anything is ugly, but cockiness to me, I think there's a balance between humility and cockiness, and I think that the balance is knowing that you are that that at the end of the day you were put here to do a specific thing, and the divine works through you to get did what Niska did here. Sometimes you could just be the vessel, and I think for me it was a lot of balancing, like, well, how much of that is me boosting myself, and how much of that is like the balance, but you won't spend your whole life searching for balance. That's literally what life is about. Um, searching and finding stuff. So that is what that is. I'm just here to let you know that if you ever struggle with believing that things will work out for you, they will because you deserve it, not because of anything that you have done or you having to make yourself valuable. You are already valuable because you are here, your existence is your currency and you are worth a lot. You do not have to overwork yourself. Lately, I feel like I've been in a state of I made a video the other day where I talked about how I'm so proud of myself because I've been having to like, I'm not gonna say stop myself from applying to things, but genuinely looking over what I have going on as somebody who's like overly ambitious, genuinely looking over the things that I have going on and saying to myself, like, your plate is full, you're doing all that you need to do. You deserve free time, free time deserves you. You don't have to spend every day of all days making yourself beneficial. You are beneficial because you exist, because you are deserving. You don't have to do anything to be deserving, you just are. I uh I think I've been in a state of getting to know myself again, but I think in a way that is my own. It's been very nice, lovely even. I am here to say that as somebody who always struggled with definitely the affirmations thing, because like I said, I was struggling to find the balance of like humility and cockiness. Um, because I feel like I like I look at everything as just walking in my purpose and walking in what I was put here to do. Um, so it's not necessarily like to stroke my ego or like to no, I just come here and I I do what speaks to me. And I think it's a lot of finding, and I I feel like the reason why I always struggle with this specifically is because I think that pride and cockiness can be two of the biggest obstacles in your relationship with yourself, because this really is gonna be a yap episode, y'all. Not even gonna hold you. I feel like it's one of the biggest obstacles because whenever I engage with just cockiness in its form or like arrogance, a lot of times to me it feels like a band-aid over real acceptance. Searching for the words, I'm buffering. Yeah, I think it's just that there's a balance between insecurity or not thinking, and then there's like humility, and then cockiness is like on the far end. But to me, cockiness can also just be another form of insecurity, a way to talk yourself up, even if you don't really, I'm not even gonna say don't really believe it, but I guess it's a way of, and I guess the way I look at it is where is your cockiness coming from? Like, is it from the way you look, what you do, like all of these things, or is it just who you are? And I think it takes me back to you are that girl, because you just are like there's anything that you have to do, you just are God created you the way that God created you for a reason. There's something that you were put here to do. Now, do I think that it's your personal legend or your like life's journey to figure that out for yourself? Yes, I think that's the beautiful thing about life, but in all of its different whatever, you are that because you are you. I also think it's really hard now with like social media and all of the things going on and trends because to me, trends make it really easy. I know I struggle with content specifically because of trends, and like the way that I'm gonna be frank, like, even for me and content, it took a minute for me to just be like, girl, just post the video, like upload the video, even if it's not like ooh ah, like the message is what matters, it's not really about the packaging that the let that the message is sometimes that determines who's gonna be able to receive it, but whoever receive it, receive it, and that's what matters. And at the end of the day, um, this is a space for me to yap. So if you receive something, lovely. Um, I think sometimes it can just really be hard to develop certain levels of self-esteem or even humility or the balance of like all of the things and knowing who you are and walking in who you are when there's so many things around you that are constantly like going on, but then it's constantly new trends and it's constantly new things, and humans can be very fickle, they're gonna go whichever way the wind blows. So, to me, it was just really on my heart to speak the importance of knowing that you are that simply because you are you, regardless of what you look like, how you dress, what you can do for others, your value is wrapped in you being you, because nobody else can be you like you. So, yeah. I don't really got nothing else to say other than drink some water, water a plant. Y'all are so proud of my plants, they are thriving, and that means a lot to me as a plant parent because I love a good plant. Anyways, drink some water, get a plant or water a plant. Speak affirmations to your plants and to yourself. And I hope you have a great rest of your week. You are that girl, you are that, and I'm gonna see y'all in the next one.
